This year we organise the International Albinism Awareness Day, in Rotterdam. The celebration will be held on 13 June 2024 at the Erasmus Medical Centre.
In 2024, the theme is 10 years of IAAD, a decade of collective progress.
The Open Eyes Foundation organises a celebration and the exhibition ‘Eyes on Us’
Large portraits of persons with albinism are shown on trotters. Albinism is a genetic disorder and occurs in each age group, gender, ethnicity.
Persons with albinism always stand out if they like it or not. For IAAD we raise awareness and ask for attention for those who are vulnerable and whose voices are not (yet) heard.
